The i2i Teaching Partnership SCITT is very excited to announce a new partnership between themselves and Shepperton based Thamesmead SCITT, part of Thamesmead School Academy Trust.

Phil Reeves, Headteacher at Thamesmead School in Shepperton, where the SCITT is based said "this development offers increased opportunity for Thamesmead SCITT to continue to grow".  As a provider, Phil explains "we are passionate about ensuring there are inspiring teaching opportunities and experiences for potential future secondary school teachers across our established and valued partnership, and through working with i2i this will strengthen further".

The i2i Teaching Partnership SCITT is a highly regarded specialist secondary teacher training provider, based at Weydon School in Farnham, Surrey, with a network of partnership schools across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire with another training centre in Reigate. Liz Wylie, Director at i2i, sees this as "an amazing opportunity for teacher training to develop across our communities at a time when joining education has never been more exciting or inspiring.  New teachers entering the profession will have studied the best curriculum ever provided, which is fully immersed in research.  Teaching is a powerful, rewarding and exciting career."

All applications to Thamesmead SCITT for September 2023 will be part of the i2i Partnership.  Succefful applicants will be Interviewed jointly by both providers and placed in a local  partnership school and the training centre will be at Thamesmead School.
